Too Hoots Plantation Bridge

A developer wanting to build a new house on a site close to the a railway line which connects Windermere to the West Coast mainline. Here the brief was for a 3 bedroom house to be part of the local character and yet be very marketable. The continuation of the Arts and Craft style, with open plan ground floor and two bedrooms within the roof space complete the design. The entrance is next to the integral garage and is through an opening in the new stone wall to the house. The main living area is situated in the sunny south west corner whilst the kitchen is on the opposite side. The staircase is central, as always to my designs leading up to the two first floor bedrooms. The third bedroom is situated on the ground floor allowing more elderly occupants to have the option to sleep on the main ground floor level.
This property when complete was sold quickly and gave the Developer the result they required.
